Welcome to RentO.
These Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the RentO digital platform, including its website, applications, features, tools, content and related services (together, the “Platform”).
By accessing, signing up for or using RentO, you accept these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and the other policies that apply to the Platform.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must refrain from using RentO.
1. What is RentO?
RentO is a digital platform that allows users to look up and share experiences related to renting and housing.
RentO's goal is to make it easier to access information and experiences that can help people make better-informed decisions before renting a property.
The information available on RentO may include reviews, opinions, ratings, photos, videos, documents, statistics, maps and other content provided by users or generated from activity on the Platform.
RentO is not a real estate agency, rental agency, real estate broker, property manager or party to the contracts entered into between landlords and tenants.
Nor does RentO guarantee the conditions, features, safety, physical state or behavior of the people related to a property.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
By using RentO you declare that:
- You have read and understood these Terms.
- You agree to comply with them.
- The information you provide is true and reasonably accurate.
- You will use the Platform lawfully and responsibly.
- You will not use RentO to harm, harass, threaten, defraud or unduly affect other people.
If you use RentO on behalf of an individual or a legal entity, you declare that you have the authority to do so.
3. Registration and user accounts
Some RentO features may require creating an account.
The user is responsible for:
- Providing true, up-to-date and complete information.
- Keeping their credentials confidential.
- Not sharing their account with third parties.
- Notifying RentO of any unauthorized use of their account.
RentO may suspend or cancel accounts when there are reasonable grounds to believe they have been used fraudulently, abusively or contrary to these Terms.
4. Posting reviews and experiences
RentO allows its users to share experiences related to properties they have lived in or rented.
By posting a review, you declare that:
- Your experience relates to a property you actually lived in or regarding which you have a legitimate, personal experience.
- The information provided is substantially true to the best of your knowledge.
- The review represents your personal experience or opinion.
- You are not posting information in order to deliberately deceive, manipulate or harm another person.
- You will not post content that amounts to a threat, harassment, discrimination or incitement to violence.
Reviews may contain subjective opinions and personal perceptions.
RentO does not necessarily share, endorse or validate the opinions expressed by its users.
5. Verification of experiences
To maintain the quality and reliability of the information published, RentO may request evidence to verify that the user actually had a rental relationship with, or lived in, the reviewed property.
Depending on the case, evidence may include:
- Documents related to the lease.
- Photos.
- Videos.
- Receipts or proofs.
- Communications related to the property.
- Other items that reasonably allow the experience to be verified.
Evidence will be used for internal verification, moderation, fraud prevention and Platform security processes.
RentO may request additional information when it deems it necessary to verify the authenticity of an experience.
Submitting evidence does not guarantee that a review will be published.
Verifying an experience does not mean that RentO certifies as true every statement contained in a review.
6. Prohibited content
It is prohibited to post content that:
- Is deliberately false or misleading.
- Contains threats or incites violence.
- Amounts to harassment.
- Contains discriminatory expressions.

As part of its moderation processes, RentO may:
- Approve a post.
- Request additional information.
- Request changes.
- Temporarily hide a post.
- Delete a post.
- Temporarily suspend an account.
- Cancel an account.
Moderation aims to maintain reasonable standards of authenticity, safety and quality on the Platform.

8. Anonymous posts
RentO may allow certain reviews to be published anonymously.
When the user selects this option, RentO may display an automatically generated identifier instead of their name or public profile information.
For example: Nilo1811
Anonymous posting means that the user's identity will not be publicly shown in connection with the review.
Anonymous posting does not mean that RentO does not know the user's identity.
RentO may retain information related to the user's account and identity when necessary for the operation of the Platform, verification processes, fraud prevention, security, compliance with legal obligations or responding to requests from competent authorities.
Such information will be processed in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy.

Users who upload photos, videos, documents or other files declare that they have the rights or authorizations needed to use and share them through RentO.
Users should avoid uploading documents that contain unnecessary personal information about third parties.

- Operate the Platform.

RentO does not guarantee that all available information is complete, accurate, up to date or error-free.
15. Relationship between users and third parties
RentO does not take part in the negotiations or lease agreements that may be entered into between users and owners, managers, real estate agents, developers or other third parties.

RentO will not be liable for:
- Entering into or terminating a lease.

16. Owners, managers and third parties
Owners, managers, developers, agencies and other third parties may view the public information available on RentO in accordance with the Platform's features.
Where RentO allows the identity associated with a property to be claimed or verified, that feature will not automatically give the owner or manager the ability to modify, delete or alter the experiences published by users.
